When you are talking about Hasbro's blockbuster line of toys littlest pet shops, littlest pets, littlest pets shop are all different ways that people around the world refer to these wonderful toys. It does not matter if you get the spelling exactly right everyone who is in the know will be certain of what you are referring to without a doubt.
Introduced in the 90's you have to wonder if Hasbro ever anticipated the staying power of having an animated television show devoted to following the lives of 5 miniature animals.
Well as luck would have the tv show spawned some of the original Littlest Pets, which were in production from 92 thru 96. These original pets are getting more and more rare as time marches on and are now referred to as Vintage Pets. (<---Click There to View Some) included quite a few different sets including the Sparkling Ponies, Zoo Pets, and Splashtime Pets too.
The original pets were quite large compared to the 1 inch LPS of today and seemed to be more closely modeled after real animals. Being as they are long since retired there are very few places where these can be purchased, the older littlest pets shop can be found online and mostly on E-bay.

The Ride-N-Slide with Hamsters where the hamsters can slip-n-slide through the tubes and containers, go on the merry go round and in the exercise ball - and have all sorts of fun just like real hamsters do!
The Care Center Hospital included many accessories such as X-Ray Film of the Puppy, X-Ray Film for the Kitty, an exam table with a happy meter as well as a scale, a blanket, a cast for puppies arm, a few medicine bottles to administer meds for sick littlest pets, scissors, needle, thermometer, tongs, a tray and a couple of band-aids. The set was all inclusive and came with a puppy and kitty.
Mini Surprise Family School Discover the Schoolhouse hidden inside the boot! It includes a family of littlest pets shop owls known as the Tooters. Mrs. Tooter, the schoolteacher, and her two chicks, Amy Tooter and Ian Tooter, a ladder, chalkboard, cane, and bell, and a little book titled "Owl Families Story". The boot opens up to reveal both sides and allows a bit more interactive play.
The Littlest Pet Shops toys of yesteryear can still be had with a little patience and browsing over at E-bay.
